NHS Sensory Processing Hub

What is this?

This is a list of resources that provide advice and guidance on supporting people with Sensory processes.

Sensory processes are how we interpet the world through our senses of sight, smell, taste, touch and hearing.

It also explores the lesser known senses of Proprioception (body awareness), Vestibular (movement, balance & co-ordination) and Interoception (understanding what's happening inside our body).

How long does it take?

Each topic will vary in length between 2 and 9 pages.

As the resources are downloadable it means you can view them at your own pace and come back later.

The resources are done in a powerpoint presentation style meaning each section is laid out via bulletpoints for easy reference.

The resources are free to access.

Simply click on the link below to land on the 'downloads' page. Each resource is then accessible by clicking the relevant topic.

You will need a PDF viewer to read them. You may already have this built into your web browser or you may be required to download a tool such as Adobe Acrobat Reader.
