This is an app with advice for someone who may be in a domestic abuse situation or if they know someone else who is, or might be.
The app can be accessed on both android and iphones. When you download the app it will appear as a generic weather app in order to safeguard the person using it.
It has advice & guidance, a journal feature, resource and suppport options including a call 999 button for emergencies.
You can browse the app in your own time and when it's safe to do so. Most of the information on the app is quite short and concise allowing you to read it on the go.
There will also be some longer articles when visiting external websites. These websites can be accessed through the app to conceal your steps to potential abusers.
It is free to download and access the app.
To download the app visit the link below. You can decide on either the Apple store for iPhones or the Google Play store for Android phones.
Once the App has been downloaded you will see an introduction screen explaining how the app works and you will be asked to select your preferred language. Once that has been done you will end up on the generic 'weather' screen.
This screen will now always be the first thing that comes up when accessing the app. To access the support and advice regarding domestic abuse you will need to press and hold on the 'temperature' option. After a few seconds this will then load up the advice and guidance section including journal, resources and the 999 button.
To go back to the main weather screen click the 'cloud' icon in the top right of the screen.
